Laura is a self-taught photographer and retoucher based in Rochester, NY.  Originally seeking to be a traditional artist with a focus in feminine portraiture, she was inspired by her twin sister at the age of 26 to instead pursue photography. 

Because she often worked with limited resources early on, simplicity has become a large part of Laura’s creative process.  It has also led her to learn makeup artistry and hair styling.  She often covers these aspects as well on a number of her shoots.  

The tone of Laura's work is very much about portraying the illusion of perfection. Many of her images are crisp, clean, and focused on aesthetic appeal.  Her personal style varies from vibrant creative concepts to classic portraits.
